The Blood Clash is the fight between the vampires and the Church that has been going on for centuries. The Church wants the vampires destroyed, but the immortals are strong. There is much fear that the fight shall erupt into a war that will decide the fate of all. The Dark Ones, or the Church. Either way, the bloodshed shall stain the earth until the end of all days.

Seth ran down the dark alley, his breath coming in heavy pants, but he laughed quietly. He all but skidded around the corner, booking it down the street. The roads and sidewalks were wet from the rain earlier, so it made running a bit of a task. His dripping hair was sticking to his face in places, but he hardly noticed, careening around another corner and down another alley. He ran towards the end and scrambled up the ten foot half wall, dropping down easily on the other side. He crouched low, his back against the bricks as his chest heaved. He smirked. He could hear them coming down the alley.

Maharet skidded to a stop as the others ran down the alleyway. Panting, she grinned. Seth was down there. Good luck, morons. She looked around her, a map of the area forming in her mind. She ran down the street, past a few more buildings until she reached a narrow alleyway. She bolted through to the end, more or less stopping herself by dropping to her knees and throwing her back against the wall. She peered around the corner, shaking her long wet hair from her face. She smirked. She could see the opening where Seth was bound to come out - unless of course he hopped the wall and went back the other way.

Here they came. Seth looked up as three Erinyes, two boys and a girl, leapt from the wall to land directly in front of him. He was already on his feet and managed to get a cut on the female whilst dodging one of the males. He cut one of them but the other was too quick, so Seth resorted to simply kicking him, sending him into the other two and knocking them against the wall. He took off down the street as he heard a couple more of them coming towards the wall and ran fast down the slick sidewalk, completely unaware that Maharet was just around the corner.

Oh this was too good. Maharet grinned and fought back an excited laugh as she watched Seth get closer and closer... Now! Just as he was about to run past, Maharet shot out an arm and grabbed the front of his shirt, yanking him hard towards her and into the alley. Her leg was out, ready to trip him if he didn't go down right away.

Seth's eyes widened in surprise as Maharet suddenly grabbed him and yanked him towards her. He completely lost his footing, startled beyond belief, and tripped over her leg, falling into the alley and landing flat on his back at her feet with a quiet "Oof!" He groaned. At least they were out of sight. He kicked her legs with his, hoping to knock her down with him.

Maharet had figured he'd pull something like that - but not with both legs. She dodged one but the other caught her ankle and she lost her balance, toppling over onto him saying something that sounded embarrassingly like, "Eek!" She landed across his stomach and chest, right on top but on a bit of an angle. She tossed her hair from her face and looked down at him, for some reason a little out of breath. It took her a few seconds to realize she was still on top of him, all but staring at him, before she finally leapt off and whipped out her knife, her back against the stone wall of the alley as she remained seated at its base.

Seth got what he wanted - and then some. He stared up at Maharet, wondering what in the world he was doing, but then instinct of the Games kicked in and at the same instant as she, he bolted upright and threw his back against the opposite wall. His knife was ready in his hand, and he was seated at the base of the wall as she was. He kept his eyes on her, breathing a little raspy due to... well... everything he supposed.
A smirk tugged at the corner of Maharet's lips as she looked across the alley at her opponent. It seemed she and Seth were always opponents, always challenging each other in some way or another. But this was the Games, and the Games were not something that either of them took lightly.
"Well?" she asked, arching an eyebrow at the so-called Erinyes 'prince'. "What are you waiting for?"
